As part of the Stampede for Open Space, you can visit different eras in Littleton’s past. Play old time games, try your hands at weaving, talk to historic figures, and help protect open space at this free community event. No fee necessary to participate, however, donations are matched buy private contributions to help protect and preserve open space.
“We find about the same amount of gold found by the early prospectors who started the Gold Rush — a flake or two in almost every pan,” said Skot Latona, Supervisor of South Platte Park. Everyone is welcome to keep whatever gold they find. This is a unique opportunity for people to connect to the community and find out what life was like in the South Platte River Valley 150 years ago.”
