The Littleton Jazz Festival presents its 13th Annual concert offering both a contemporary and a traditional jazz selection. The Hank Troy Quartet, featuring M. Carteret as lead vocalist, kicks-off with the evening with selections from the more mainstream. M. Carteret started performing as a jazz vocalist during graduate school and soon found jazz to be an exciting new learning curve. Next, Hank Troy has performed in Denver since 1971 when he began performing ragtime concerts and accompanying silent films. He has been the pianist for Queen City Jazz Band since 1961. The Queen City Jazz Band was established in 1958 and has entertained audiences far and wide. Featuring Wendy Harston as lead vocalist, Wendy sings the songbook of all the great female singers who populated jazz in the early years.
