The Western Welcome Week program begins at 6pm with introduction of the Western Welcome Week Board of Directors and THANK YOU for all of their hard work. Introduction of WWW Grand Marshal Mickey Kempf of Bradford Auto Body, Inc.
After introductions, get into the beat and welcome the Drum Lines from Arapahoe and Heritage High school! Then sit back and enjoy the evening of music from the Denver Municipal Band from approximately 7:15-9pm.

NEW Fireworks show – “Outdoor Close Proximity” fireworks display set to music will begin at approximately at 9pm. Western Welcome Week provides a professional fireworks display; every precaution is taken to provide a safe show for the spectators and the surrounding neighborhood. If the weather becomes a hazard to the attendees the event will be cancelled and efforts will be made to reschedule.
Outdoor Close Proximity Pyrotechnics: Outdoor close proximity firework displays require both specially designed product and special training, licensing, and experience in its use. All of Tri-State Firework Company’s proximate products are manufactured in the USA, have minimal fallout debris, and are designed to be used in distance-restricted areas and/or in close proximity to audiences and structures. Close proximate products are used with the utmost confidence in many venues, including residential parks, rooftops, stadiums, theaters, etc.
• Canopies or tents are not allowed by spectators at the event.
• Signs or anything stuck into the ground are prohibited. Flags are acceptable to help direct family and friends to your seating area.
• Areas are not to be roped off; blankets and chairs are acceptable for reserving areas.

Note: W. Shepperd Avenue will be closed from Bemis Street to Spotswood and S. Spotswood Street will be closed from Shepperd Avenue to Lake Avenue at 2pm. Access has been arranged for residents on S. Spotswood Street. Handicap parking with placard or plate will be allowed to park in this area — space is limited. Handicap drop-off is always allowed.
