Welcome to the “paperless” Grand Parade Entry Form!
The online Grand Parade Entry Form will enable Western Welcome Week’s small office staff to more efficiently process and manage the high number of parade entries it receives.
Safe and Secure
Western Welcome Week (WWW) uses a professional data-collection/form-processing application that uses the same level of security used by online banking and e-commerce providers. The Parade Entry Form does not ask for any private information such as a social security number or password, and dozens of parade applications have been submitted without issue. If you have any concerns, contact the WWW office during business hours or email info@westernwelcomeweek.org.
What you need to know…
Changes and/or additions to your entry after it’s been submitted may incur an additional charge. Changes or additions to parade announcement script or details on entry cannot be accepted after August 1st. Acceptance of each entry is at the discretion of the Parade Committee.
Checklist
Have the following items ready when starting your Grand Parade Entry Form:
- Valid email address;
- Credit card for entry fees; not necessary if paying by check;
- Check payment must be received by WWW within 10 days afterapplication is accepted. Failure to make check payment may cause the application to be deleted, and a new application will be required.
- Certificate of Insurance if there are horses or other live animals in your entry (scan or high-quality digital photo — must be legible);
- Be sure you know your Parade Category; selecting the incorrect category could affect your entry fee and delay processing your entry. For example, if you have a float with walkers, that is two (2) entries – one for the float and one for the walkers.
Entry Fee — WWW accepts a check OR a credit card for your entry fee payment. Payment by credit card is offered as a convenience. You do not have to pay by credit card but if you do, your payment is securely processed through PayPal. A PayPal account is not required for payment. If you pay by credit card, your card will not be charged until your entry has been reviewed and accepted by WWW. If you select the incorrect Parade Category for your entry, WWW may correct your selection and your entry fee may change.
Amplified Sound Fee — WWW charges a $10 fee for entries with amplified sound. Entries with amplified sound are limited and sound is not guaranteed. This does not apply to Marching Bands or Pipe Bands. All amplified sound must be directed to the sides of the entry; no forward- or rear-facing amplification. Amplified sound cannot interfere with or be a nuisance to other parade entries.
Live Animals — Live animals must be under control at all times. All dogs must be on a leash at all times (Littleton City Code 6-2-4). Be sure to bring extra water for your animals. The 1.5-mile parade route is asphalt and can get very hot for pet’s paws in the summertime. Please have a way to relieve pets from the heat; wagons, placement on float, or in a vehicle. Water is available to fill your horse troughs at the ACC equestrian staging area. Water is NOT available at the Gallup Street staging area.
Entries that include animals (horses, ponies, mules, dogs, cats, chickens, goats, etc.) are required to include a certificate of insurance naming Western Welcome Week, Inc. as an additional insured.
Marching Bands — Due to the Grand Parade's growth in popularity, parade timing, and staging limitations, the number of marching bands that can be accommodated in the parade is limited to 12 schools. Priority will be given to bands based on prior attendance and space availability.
Political Entries — Only one entry per candidate, seated official, and political party. Walking is not permitted with any political entry.
