15th Annual Pancake Stampede 5K Fun Run & Walk

Run for your pancakes! Work up an appetite for a delicious pancake breakfast as you run/walk 3.1 miles on the beautiful Mary Carter Greenway, along the South Platte River. The race course starts and finishes at Hudson Gardens & Event Center. Family-friendly – runners and walkers of all ages welcome; strollers are allowed, however, please – no dogs. The race is chip timed, with awards for overall male and female as well as first and second in age/gender groups. The event is held rain or shine. Free parking for the run/walk is available at Arapahoe Community College.

Adults – $25, Children under 14 – $10: Register at www.ssprd.org/RaceSeries 

The registration fee includes a ticket to the Western Welcome Week Family Pancake Breakfast at Geneva Park – Upper level between the City Center and Geneva Lodge (2255 W Berry Ave.), from 8am to 11am. Parking available at the same location. The breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee. In the past the event has been overwhelmed with the bulk of the runners coming in at the same time. Steps have been taken to improve the line wait time and prompt serving of the breakfast. Enjoy some fun entertainment at the ticket area.

There are free games for the kids in Geneva Park Upper level) at the Kids Games of Old and then saddle up for the Bruce Wolf Stick Horse Stampede – starts promptly at 10am, bring your own stick horse or purchase one at the event from Jane’s Posse for $12.
